Thank goodness it’s Friday! We are currently winding through Seattle, northern bound, for a long weekend in the San Juan Islands to celebrate our first anniversary. This first year of marriage went incredibly fast and was one of the best years of my life. I’m looking forward to sharing more about our wedding and honeymoon on the blog next week. Image: This week’s Farmer’s Market haul! I’m loving the vibrancy of the market at the peak of summer. I can often find everything I need within the maze of stalls without an additional trip to the grocery store. This week I scored some top-notch wild mushrooms, kale, spinach, apples, watermelon, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, eggs, duck eggs, chicken feet (oops this is veering into weird territory — don’t worry! The chicken feet are for Sampson), fresh bread, steak, and fresh flowers. That bag was heavy.
Find: I’m sure you’ve seen Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook on Instagram or the end-cap at Target but I’m here to vouch for it! Having made about 15 recipes from it thus far I’m really enjoying Chrissy’s take on mixing healthy choices with the things you really want to eat. The blue cheese steak bites are firmly cemented in Cameron’s top two favorite meals. Plus — the photography is absolutely gorgeous which never hurts 😀
