I’ve been a relativity passive member of the blogosphere for over a few years now. Reading my beloved blogs with my morning cup of coffee is one of my favorite things to do in the five minutes of morning me time and new posts throughout the day add such a splash of inspiration to the monotony that can easily become my work from home, techie life. Between debugs and ticket review, Erlang code and Linux commands my work life is a swarm of numbers and logic. The beautiful pictures and exciting ideas never fail to put a smile on my face. It’s a small slice of the same magic that embodies Christmas morning as you never know what the post is going to be about – just as I couldn’t tell you what was waiting under the tree 12 years ago Christmas morning, its not about the thing – its about the feeling you are left with.
I was blessed by my parents with the opportunity to travel throughout Europe three (wow! has it really been that long?) summers ago and documented the adventures on my travel blog. I fell in love anew with the magic world that can be woven by words and the way I feel when writing. The travel blog experience coupled with inspired from Cameron who has been encouraging me to start my own blog for years – well, today is post one. Numero Uno. Blog. (Yeah, I’m a nerd at heart, better if I own it now…). I’ve been hesitating for months now – I just don’t know how to start. While I come across things in daily life that I would love to showcase or thoughts I would love to get down, none seemed an appropriate “first post”. I didn’t know where or how to begin. So! I’m just going to start. Perhaps a “Who I am” post will feel more natural later on. Welcome to my small corner of the Internet. I hope to share that which inspires me and I hope this blog serves as another gentle reminder to both notice and document the small flashes of delight that occur every single day. Can’t wait to get started!0
