This weekend I got in touch with my adolescent soul; the one who devoured each new Harry Potter book in a single – albeit very long – sitting. After finishing this book in a single day, I haven’t been able to get the saga off of my mind since. I would feel selfish if I kept a story this delicious and carefully crafted to myself. I am the sort of person who refuses to tolerate the suspense of horror films. I made Cameron turn Stranger Things off and The Walking Dead is way over my line of gross! The Couple Next Door was meticulously told and amazingly suspenseful without being graphic or tooooo scary. The urgency the author instills with every word kept me engrossed until the very end. The writing was razor sharp and I couldn’t foretell a single twist. The imaginative plot and compelling writing makes this a must read. Highly recommend!
