Feelings & Reflections

How is everyone doing?  It’s been a turbulent few days.  I didn’t think I wanted to address the massive event that has rocked our nation on the blog as it’s a very polarizing and divisive issue.  However, it also feels disingenuous to not mention [on my personal blog] that I’ve been crushed.  I feel a mix of strong emotions: shock, sorrow, astonishment, heartbreak for what could have been.  It has been less than 48 hours so I know that I am continuing to process what happened and what it does and does not mean about how our nation feels and the direction we are going.  I’m also honestly struggling to comprehend how this happened (take a look at how my generation voted).

Later today I’ll be sharing a gift idea for the most innocent and precious part of our world (hint:  it’s a baby gift) because I know we must respond and fill our world with love.  We must.  Love, inclusiveness, and a commitment to the unity and future of our nation.  As my dad reminded me last night, change is progress and everything is gonna be okay.  If you are interested, I found Joanna’s post on the topic incredibly calming and reflective (graphic representing Hilary’s message of unity on top of this post is from her blog).  Hugs and love all around, today and forever onwards!
