With only three days to go until Christmas is upon us, the holiday spirit abounds in seemingly every facet of our lives – including late night TV! Although we don’t have cable and wouldn’t be up late enough for many of these shows regardless, I throughly savor the gems late night TV produces the following morning, courtesy of the ever-faithful YouTube. These two were my favorites, full of celebrities joining together in holiday cheer. The first is full of merriment as James Corden gathers a band of stars from Selena Gomez to Adele to jam out with OG Christmas diva Mariah Carey and her legendary classic, All I Want For Christmas Is You.
Then Jimmy Fallon up’s the ante with a festive ensemble of his own. Fallon assembled the cast of the new animated film Sing, I’m talking Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Tori Kelly, Scarlett Johansson, The Roots, and Paul McCartney – to serenade us with an a cappella rendition of Wonderful Christmastime. So much wonderful, indeed.
P.S. I’m a fan of James Corden’s other carpool karaoke’s as well, if you are interested. Some favorites include Michelle Obama, Adele, and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton writer, producer, and star). Seriously. Watch them. They are wonderful.
